Open 12pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday, 12pm to 1am Friday and Saturday, and 12pm to 10.30pm Sunday, Hobgoblin is a very friendly and outgoing pub. This place is summed up by its 'play your cards right' competition for every 100th customer and birthday reveller. There are live DJs and open mic nights twice a month and a very old school jukebox at all other times. Pints are £2.50, spirits £2 and, as you would expect with the Hobgoblin connection, there are a huge collection of delicious real ales from £2.40.

It’s cool, has a good atmosphere and everyone’s really nice. It is very personal, the sort of place you want to go back to.
