Open 12pm to 2am 7 days a week Salt is a gastro pub. Although it is set out like a bar, the quality of the menu and the food respectively are comparable to that of a restaurant. With the quiz on Monday, acoustic night on Tuesday, a live band on Wednesday, DJ on Friday and Saturday and live jazz on Sunday, you are never short of entertainment here either. Moreover, at £2.20 a pint and approximately £2.50 for most other drinks it is relatively cheap as well. This young and fresh bar is also very proud of its Magners, its biggest selling drink at £3.30 per bottle.

Situated at the beginning of North Street (depending on which way you’re facing) this Southville regular bar is ideal for a quiet drink in the evenings till late, to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life whilst still being in a modern environment. There’s plenty of Blackthorn, Guinness and Stella and a converted barn to play pool. Outdoor heaters provide a perfect setting for the chilly summer nights or even as English braving the cold winter!
