Fortunately the Union's balance sheet position is such that the loss does not significantly affect our reserves or cash balances and the Union still has a healthy balance sheet.

The Union has carried out significant improvements to its Facilities at the shop and Red bar at Frenchay and the facilities at the Glenside Student Centre, which have been met out of current cash reserves and a contribution from the University. Clearly 2006/07 is a exciting year for us with an additional 2,000 students resident on the Frenchay campus and we are now confident of meeting their demands.

Most importantly we would like to thank all the members of the Union and the staff for their contribution to the Union in what has been a difficult year. The Union could not be what it is without the hard work and dedication from all those associated with the Union.
