  • Eligibility: must be a UWE student in 2007/08
  • Start date: September 2007

Sports Vice President

Example Role and Responsibilities

  • Supports the Sports President
  • Part of the organising team for sports events (ie Varsity)
  • Part of the organising team for sports awards Dinner
  • Works along side the SU Activities and Sport Department

Activities Vice President

Example Role and Responsibiliites

  • Supports the Activities President
  • Supports the Societies at UWE
  • Works along side the SU Activities and Sports Department
  • Part of the organising team for ReFreshers and Freshers
  • Supports the organising team for events at UWESU

Campus Chairs (5 positions) St Matthias, Frenchay, Glenside, Bower Ashton and Hartpury

  • Eligibility: Must be a student 2007/08
  • Part Time Voluntary
  • Location: Students' Union Campus Office

Example Role and Responsibilities:

  • Chair of the Site Committee
  • Helps organises social events for the campus
  • Represent the views of the students from the site at the Activities Council

UWESU Chair of Meeting

  • Eligibility: must be a UWE student in 2007/08
  • Start Date: Academic Year 07/08

Role and Responsibiliites

  • To act as Chair at Union General Meeting
  • To ensure the smooth running of the Meetings (Full Training will be given)

Nominations open for the positions on January 29th.

Nomination forms are available online from Students' Union Offices, or via email nerys.neath@uwe.ac.uk .

Candidates Briefing 27th February 2D07 Frenchay.

All candidates attend a briefing session which gives guidance and tips of running a successful campaign. The voting process, election rules and regulations are explained.

Voting: March 5th - March 9th 2007

UWESU use online voting. All registered UWE students have a vote.
