UWESU Sport in conjunction with the University provide leagues and tournaments in several sports offering a competitive, fun and relaxed opportunity for all UWE students irrespective of ability.
What is it:
Intramural is all about having fun and is internal UWE competition between one or more of the following: halls, flatmates, course mates, faculties, housemates, post-graduates, other sports and societies, UWE staff and UWESU staff. Any one can take part, and even if you don't have a team we'll put you in a team.
If you're interested register at the UWESU Sports and Activities Centre or via email to this address: Gabrielle.Pratten@uwe.ac.uk and we'll put you into a team or enter your team into on of the leagues. You then need to register online and pay membership to the Sport and/or Activity at: blackadder.uwesu.org/register . It's really that easy.
We'll provide you with just about everything you need from first aid training to official's courses. For your membership fee you'll get the following:
- Affiliation where applicable to the National Governing Body
- Insurance through UWESU's Endsleigh BUSA Gold Insurance Policy
- Free one day appointed 1st aid courses (UWE students only)
- Subsidised/free coaching & officials courses (UWE students only)
- A lovely big facility to play in
- Weekly matches &/or knockout tournaments for all teams/individuals
All Intramural leagues for 2008 - 2009 are due to start at the end of October 2008.
