To ensure that committee members are given all the information that they need to be able to run their activities, the Sports and Activities Centre give two sets of training sessions each year: Induction Training in March and Full Training in September.
March Committee Training 2010
This first session gives new committees an introduction into their roles and gets them ready to prepare their clubs and societies over the summer months. A selection of forms are also handed out, which must be filled out and returned by the new committees, which include, among others: Freshers Fair booking form, equipment inventory, risk assessments and development plans.
If you are a outgoing committee member, please ensure that all incoming committee members are made aware of the following training dates that all committee members must attend:
- Society Induction Training: 16th March 2010, 5.30pm, 2D67
- Club Induction Training: 18th March 2010, 5.30pm, 2D67
September Committee Training 2010
This training takes place over two days right before Freshers Week and gives committees full details of everything that they should need to know throughout the year. Presidents attend both days while all other committee members need only attend the second day.
