Halley Nursery is situated on Frenchay and St. Matthias Campuses and provides high quality care and education for the children of students, university employees and the local community.
Welcome to the UWE Students' Union Halley Nursery
Our St. Matthias nursery has been operating since 1988 and has been established as a successful educational provider. The nursery operates during the academic term and is registered to provide care for 22 children aged between 6 months to 5 years.
Following the example of Halley St. Matthias, our new Frenchay nursery opened its doors in September 2007, providing care for 62 children aged 3 months to 5 years. Halley Frenchay is a year round provision, though there are term time places allocated to students and employees.
This follows from many years of planning, during which professionals from diferent departments and the children and parents of our St. Matthias nursery participated in consultations, where they provided their support and offered their creative ideas and experience.
The nurseries will offer priority to students and staff of UWE, with places being offered to community parents if there are unfilled spaces.
We aim to carry on improving our childcare services through continuous consultations with children and parents.

If you are interested in a place at the nursery then please fill out the "Expression of Interest" form and return it to us at nursery@uwe.ac.uk .
You will then be contact by a staff member providing you with more information and the opportunity to visit either of the two nurseries at your convinience.
