Student Representatives
Student reps are ordinary students who identify the views of students on their programme of study, and represent these views to academic staff.
The reps have an opportunity to raise their concerns at staff/student meetings where any aspect of academic provision can be discussed.
Issues raised in these forums are things that affect groups of students, rather than individuals, such as overcrowded lecture rooms, quantity or quality of feedback on assignments, or the provision of IT resources.
You can find more information about student reps by following this link: www.uwesu.net/reps
Student reps are supported by the Rep Co-ordinators who work in the Students' Union. The benefits of being a rep:
- Development of transferable skills
- Extra-curricular activity, therefore enhanced C.V.
- Involvement in the University and the Students' Union
- Opportunity to make friends
- Certificate at the end of the year for your contributions
If you have any queries the rep co-ordinators can be contacted by emailing reps@uwesu.net
