Finding Somewhere to live in Bristol

It's a good idea to narrow down your search to the areas of Bristol that are accessible to the campus you'll be studying at - although this will depend on whether you have your own transport or not.

To get more information about places accessible to your campus, ask at the Students' Union Office there or contact Student Accommodation Services who will be able to tell you more.

Go and check out the area you are thinking of living in at various times of the day - what is the atmosphere like generally, what is it like after dark, etc. If you're not completely happy about a place, if you feel that it's dodgy or just not for you, look somewhere else.

You are probably looking for somewhere that you'll be living for at least 9 months, so if it doesn't feel right when you move in, it might never get any better.

For more information see the Advice Centre leaflet, entitled 'Finding a Place to Rent'.
