Christmas Shoebox Project
Bring in your box next week - Red Bar Monday 16th November or One Zone Thursday 19th November 12:00-2:30pm.
We are working with a local Bristol charity - CORF who send boxes to children in Bulgarian orphanages each year.
CORF (registered charity no:1070467)
In 2008 CORF sent one thousand five hundred-ish boxes with at least 50 from UWE.
Let's make it more this year!
What do I do if I want to make a box?
- Download the details of what to put in your box here .
- Find a shoebox and collect items to put in it… Don’t worry if you don’t have enough items to fill a box, just collect a few things together or even just an empty box and we can club items together
- Bring your box or items to Red bar on Monday 16th November 12-2:30 or One Zone on Thursday 19th November 12-2:30
- We will have lots of cellotape and wrapping paper so if you haven’t completed your box don’t worry come and join in the mass present wrapping session!
- Why not get together with your friends and housemates and make a box between you
We also need volunteers to help promote the project, get their friends involved and others around campus; to help collect and take the boxes to the charity’s headquarters.
If you want to help to run the project, please contact Helen in the Students' Union: helen.seacombe@uwe.ac.uk .
