UWE dance soc hold classes in various styles of dance including ballet, hiphop and dance fitness. We currently (07/08) have over 200 members and classes are designed for people of all abilities and levels of experience from beginners to those who have been dancing for years, and provide members with the opportunity for fun, exercise and to escape the pressures of uni life. We also have a squad which meet regularly and perform and compete throughout the university year, coming second in open Contemporary at Loughborough University dance competition in February 2008, their first ever competition. The society was also voted Best New Society 2007 and Society of The Year 2008!

Classes are held in the evenings in the centre for performing arts on Frenchay campus. Timetable details can be found on the website.
We also have regular socials throughout the year for all our members to meet and socialize outside of classes.
This year the squad attended loughborough dance competition, and will continue on competing in the future. We also put on a show each year for all members to perform in if they wush, or just come along and support us.
£2/£3 per class. Members don’t need anything to take part except for suitable clothing for dancing in.
