The form below will be used by the RAG committee to help in the selection of the charities that UWE Students' Union support. If selected, your charity will be one of four charities associated with UWESU, based on a rotation system that sees each charity receive two years of support.
Under the rotation system, charities are off-set by a year so that at any given time we will have two charities that have been newly chosen for that academic year, and two charities with one year of support remaining.
Monies raised by activities undertaken by RAG will be divided equally between the four charities at the end of each academic year and sent in one lump sum by 30 August for each year that you are supported.
Charities are chosen by the RAG committee within the first month of each academic year; all successful charities will be notified by 30 October of that year. If you are not notified by this date then you have not been chosen; however, because we use a rotation system, whereby two charities are chosen every year, you are encouraged to re-apply for the following year if unsuccessful. The same applies to charities that are coming to the end of their current support.
Charities are chosen based on information that they provide us with. If you wish to include additional information, such as leaflets, annual reports or other materials, then we will gladly read them.
