Societies are an ideal way to meet people, get more out of university, learn new skills and more importantly have a good time! UWESU is home to some of the most active and largest student societies in the country.

Raise and Give is something of a university institution across the country. UWE’s own RAG committee consists of a group of enthusiastic students dedicated to putting on events and having fun while raising a significant amount of money for charity.

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do, and it looks great on your CV. There are a number of ways you can get involved while at UWE including:

• Student led volunteering
• Ave it! Accreditation Scheme ;
• Community Volunteer Programme ; and
• JUICE .

The Activities Council is the decision making forum for societies, student media, halls and site committees.

The biggest night of the year for media, societies and volunteering is an annual event that celebrates success and achievements of students throughout the year.
